Dr. Jonathan Ehlers was born and raised in Cole Camp, near Tiger Family Dental, and is a proud graduate of Cole Camp High School. He earned his Biology degree summa cum laude from Lindenwood University while also playing baseball before pursuing his DDS at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. In 2016, he graduated in the top 25 percent of his class, then further advanced his expertise through a one-year oral surgery internship and a dental implant residency.
Inspired by a passion for healthcare, Dr. Ehlers chose dentistry because it uniquely combines medicine, art, and engineering. He is passionate about helping patients improve not only their oral health, but also their confidence and self-esteem.
In the fall of 2016, Dr. Ehlers brought his vision to life by opening Tiger Family Dental, where he proudly provides personalized, compassionate care to the community he calls home.
Dr. Jon lives in Sedalia with his wife, Amanda, and their four children: Kaylen (13), Calum (2), and twins Gemma and Mara, who were born in March 2022. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, working on the farm, drinking bourbon, and cheering on his favorite teams—the Mizzou Tigers, Kansas City Chiefs, and St. Louis Cardinals. He rarely misses a Mizzou or Chiefs football game.
Dr. Jon specializes in comprehensive dental implant procedures and remains committed to staying at the forefront of implant dentistry, helping transform the lives of patients with missing teeth.
